Location, Location, Location. . . . You want to visit Lancaster County, but you want to experience the city life of Lancaster because you’ve heard how bustling and upcoming our city has become. In my words, “my little Philly” – why you ask – because we have new, wonderful, delectable upscale restaurants, gallery row, arts and entertainment abound. All the best of a large city, but without the major traffic jams, noise and clamor. You want to stay in a quaint old city home with charm, and with updated amenities, in a great location . . . . Then you will want to stay in our end of row, 1840’s city home, with an intriguing lore that it once housed one of many brothels of the 19thcentury, located immediately behind the Fulton Opera House and the Millersville Ware Center, a quick walk straight up two blocks to the famous Central Market, where local folks bring you the finest in meats, produce, baked goods, spices, Amish made wares and so much more . . .
You will not find our accommodations for the light of heart, as the guest house is on the 2nd and 3rd floor with a small art gallery located on the first floor, with ornate lighting of the past and present. The second floor houses a generous full kitchen with gas range, large refrigerator with ice maker and water, microwave, coffee maker and a dishwasher; the bath boasts a beautiful stained glass window (one of three in the house), tile floors and updated shower; the living room is cozy with an electric fireplace to give you that warm glow when you return on a chilly night, with windows where you can sit and watch the city come to life and go to sleep – the third floor is the sleeping area with a queen size bed, wall mounted fireplace, a small library and music selection to while away the hours peacefully. There are two 36 inch televisions in the house with Direct TV. There is no wi-fi connection in the house at this time, but the city will be going wi-fi and expect this will come to us in the near future. There is a small patio deck where you might want to partake of all those wonderful food items you’ve purchased around town.
This is a non-smoking establishment. . . . There is a two night minimum stay . . . . not recommended for small children or pets . . . . ideal parent get-a-way. . . .
